Buying A Camera for the Newbie

The majority of people these days' own or at least have access to a digital camera. If not you can and you wish to purchase one there is no need to spend a fortune. For a beginner all you need is a basic point and shoot digital camera, 3 megapixels or more is perfect, your looking at around $90 to $200 just for the basic. My personal preference would be 5 megapixels the more megapixels the bigger the print.3 megapixels will produce up to 8"x 10" nicely.
When purchasing a digital camera look for layman terms, easy to understand information. It's also wise to purchase a battery charger, buying batteries every time you run out can become quite costly, the energy is drained rather quickly especially if you have a habit as I do of continuously clicking the shutter, "Never now what you may catch!
Once you've bought your camera, take a little time and read the manual, explore your capabilities, most of all have fun.
If your wondering why the time delay delay between the shutter button to take a picture and capturing the shot, It's because digital camera's can achieve better colour balance , exposure and focused images than camera's that take a film. This can cause you to miss the picture you wanted to take but if you hold the shutter button down half way hold it and wait for the right moment to snap that picture then continue to press all the way.
